Jeff Factora, Cagayan, B.S. Computer Science, 1994Jeff Factora
I've found a home here at the Department of Agriculture which has a mandate of providing food security, modernization of the agriculture sector and people empowerment.  My main task is to help in the planning of our agency's budget, programs and evaluate its impact on farmers and fisherfolk.  I applied for a Master's program in Applied Business Economics major in Food Systems Management at the University of Asia and the Pacific under the scholarship of our agency.  Right now I'm on study leave for 2 years.  It was the PCAFPD that helped me gain a firm foundation on my education. I am glad and very honored to be a scholar.

Rhea Cinco-Balato, B.S. Business Administration, 1992
After I graduated from U.P. in 1992 and experienced working for two years, I proceeded to study law at San Beda College. I've been into the practice of law for more than five years now and at present, I work as a corporate/in-house counsel of a manufacturing corporation in Makati.  I got married to Atty. Floro Balato, Jr. in 2001 and we're still waiting for our first child until now.

I'm thankful once again to all the volunteers and officers behind the PCAFPD for reaching out to help the less fortunate in our country.  Such a selfless deed is worthy emulating and I hope I too can do my share in helping the PCAFPD carry out its noble mission. the late Mr. Modesto De Jesus was like a father to me and I will always remember him fondly.

I dream of a Philippines who citizens who harmoniously interact with each other, a government that is mature with a clear vision and mission towards its people, an economy that benefits all, and a nation that values the virtue of love, peace and unity. I believe that a good education, utmost determination and trust in God can make these things…into reality. Thank you very much for giving me the chance to cultivate my skills, talents, and abilities through sponsoring my education. You make my future bright and attainable.

Jenifer Mercado, Batangas, B.S. Engineering, 1996
Thank you for giving me the chance to have a better future. Someday I'll share it also to others. Regards and more power to the Foundation.

We thank those who have made recent gifts to PCAFPD. To my dear co-scholars, as we step out of the portals of PCAFPD, let us carry on with us the emblem of the Foundation and let us live its principles. Let us bear in mind that whatever we will be, the PCAFPD will always be part of us.

So much of my education, what I am, I owe to the PCAFPD--the officers, sponsors, and all the men and women supporting the Foundation. To all of you I am forever grateful.
