GROUP XIIIb RPCVS celebrate their 45th anniversary
with a White House meeting

Group XIIIb marked its 45th anniversary with a reunion in October 2009 in Washington, DC, including a meeting at the White House.  Twenty-six members attended the reunion.  In the photo above, the group poses with Marion Robinson, mother of First Lady Michelle Obama, and Betty Currie, secretary to President Bill Clinton, and wife of Bob Currie, an XIIIb volunteer.  The group held a raffle and raised $400 for Philippine flood relief.

The group held their 40th reunion in 2004 in Hilo, Hawaii where they had their Peace Corps training in 1964.  Photo above was sent in by Gene Ritzman, a member of group XIIIb.
